Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 26, 2026

This policy explains what information Trucking Factoring Guide ("we", "us") collects on truckingfactoringguide.com, what we do with it, and your choices. We've tried to keep it short and plain. It describes what the site actually does today.

The short version

• We only ask for what each form needs. We never ask for a phone number.
• We contact people by email only.
• We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with a factoring company unless you agree to that when we follow up.
• Our analytics don't use cookies. The only cookie we set is one that lets you reopen the checklist.
• To have your information deleted, email hello@truckingfactoringguide.com.

What we collect, form by form

Request factoring options (/get-quotes/)

• What you type: your name, email, MC or DOT number (or "not yet"), how long you've had your authority, number of trucks, monthly invoice range, lanes or freight type (optional), current factoring company (optional), what matters most to you, and any note you add.
• What we add: the date and time, the wording of the consent box you ticked, the page the request came from, and a one-way hash of your IP address (explained under "Spam protection").

Red-flag checklist (/checklist/)

• What you type: your email and, if you choose, your first name.
• What we add: the date and time, the wording of the consent box you ticked, and a one-way hash of your IP address.

Factoring survey (/survey/)

• What you type: your answers about your factoring company (company name, rate, advance, recourse, contract length, termination fee, minimums, fees and a 1 to 5 rating), and your email only if you want the results.
• What we add: the date and time. We don't store your IP address or a hash of it with survey answers, and we don't ask for your name or MC number.

Email you send us. Your email address and whatever you write.

Visiting the site. Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard request data (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver and protect the site.

Where it's stored

Form submissions are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database that only we can access. Cloudflare hosts the site and stores this data on our behalf. Cloudflare may process data in the United States and other countries. Email to hello@truckingfactoringguide.com is delivered through Cloudflare Email Routing to our email inbox.

Spam protection

Our forms use three things to block bots:

• Cloudflare Turnstile, a "verify you're human" check that runs in your browser. Cloudflare handles that check under its own privacy policy.
• A hidden field that people don't see but bots tend to fill in. Submissions that fill it in are thrown away.
• A limit of 5 submissions per hour per form. To count submissions we keep a one-way hash of your IP address (not the address itself), the form name and the hour. These rate-limit records are deleted automatically after 48 hours.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It doesn't use cookies or local storage and doesn't track you across other sites. We see only combined totals, such as page views, referring sites, countries and device types.

Cookies

We set one cookie, and only if you sign up for the checklist. It's called tfg_cl, it's only sent to pages under /checklist/, it lasts one year, and it lets your browser reopen the checklist page and PDF. It's the same value for everyone who signs up, so it can't identify you. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Links to other companies go to their official websites with no tracking added by us. Once you're on another site, its own privacy policy and cookies apply.

How we use it

• Factoring requests: we read each request ourselves. We may email you about factoring options that fit what you told us. We may not reply to every request. Any follow-up is by email only.
• Checklist sign-ups: to give you the checklist and, because you agreed, to send you occasional email updates about factoring and cash flow. Every email will include a way to unsubscribe, and we'll honor it.
• Survey answers: only to publish combined results (totals and ranges), and only once there are at least 30 responses in total and at least 5 about any company we name. We never publish individual answers or emails. If you gave an email, we use it only to send you the results.
• Email you send us: only to reply.

Who we share it with

• Factoring companies: only with your agreement. Submitting a request doesn't send it to anyone. If we follow up and suggest a factoring company, we'll share your information with that company only if you agree when we follow up, and only with the company you agreed to. After that, that company's own privacy policy applies to what it does with your information. We don't share checklist sign-ups or survey answers with factoring companies.
• Service providers: Cloudflare (hosting, database, Turnstile, analytics and email routing). If we start using an email service to send checklist updates, it will store subscriber emails on our behalf. Service providers may use the data only to provide their service to us.
• Legal reasons: if the law requires it, or to protect the site, our readers or our rights.
• If the site changes hands: the new owner would receive the data and would have to follow this policy for it.

We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it with data brokers, advertisers or list sellers.

How long we keep it

• Factoring requests: 24 months, then they're deleted automatically. Sooner if you ask.
• Checklist sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
• Survey answers: for as long as we publish results based on them. An email given for results can be deleted any time you ask.
• Rate-limit records: 48 hours, deleted automatically.
• Email you send us: as long as we need it to reply and keep reasonable records.

Deleting or correcting your information

Email hello@truckingfactoringguide.com from the address you used on the site, and tell us what you'd like us to do: see what we hold, correct it, or delete it. We'll do it and confirm by email within 30 days. If you agreed to be introduced to a factoring company, we'll also tell you which company received your information so you can contact it directly.

Children

This site is for people running trucking businesses. It isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the effective date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll ask for your agreement first.
